You can now import data directly from the England and Wales Cricket Board's (ECB) Play-Cricket platform using Spond's exclusive integration.

NOTE: This feature is only available in UK. 🇬🇧

Key advantages of the Spond and Play-Cricket integration include:

  • Seamless data sharing: The integration offers a simplified pipeline for clubs to share data with players, coaches, and parents, ensuring all parties have access to essential information for a smooth cricket experience.

  • Simplified scheduling: Spond's intuitive calendar feature allows clubs to easily plan and manage matches, training sessions, and other events, with automatic syncing of data between the two platforms.

  • Attendance tracking: The ability to track player availability and attendance across both platforms helps clubs and coaches make informed decisions about team selection and ensures all players receive equal opportunities.

  • Spond is GDPR compliant and dedicated to protecting users' data, guaranteeing the privacy and security of all personal information shared within the platform.

How It Works

  • The Season Planner feature can only be accessed through the desktop interface of the Spond App.

  • Please follow this link on a desktop and login to your account, using the same login credentials as you use for the Spond App.

  • From there, select Create new event > Choose the group you want to upload the fixtures to > Season planner > Create event invitations.

  • Click on "Import..." (In the top right corner) > Choose Play Cricket and then search for the name of your club.

  • Click on your team and then "Show events" and all the fixtures from the season will be uploaded to the spreadsheet.

  • Edit the settings at the top such as when invitations should be sent etc.

  • To upload the fixtures to the group, click "Select recipients" in the top corner.

All data is imported from ECB, so if some information is wrong it needs to be updated in ECB. There is no synchronization between ECB and Spond, the API just gives the information from ECB that exists at the moment of import. If any changes are made in ECB and the fixtures were already imported to Spond, it needs to be manually updated in Spond afterwards as the changes will not sync directly from ECB.
