How Booking Forms for Courses/Academies Work for Registrants

If your club organises courses or activities, they can create a registration form for the course or activity. This article explains the different elements of the registration form as you, the participant, will see them. If the registration is open to individuals outside the club’s membership, it is also possible to sign up without having a Spond profile.

You can be invited to the registration form in two ways: either via a direct link to the form or through an invitation from an administrator. The invitation will be sent to you as a club member in the Spond app or via email if you do not use the app.

Below is an example of how a registration form appears after clicking the link or the “Register here” button in the message from the app or email:


Select your desired option. If optional products are available, you will be taken to a new page where you can choose one or more of the optional products.

Subscription/Recurring Payment in the Registration Form


In the image below, you can see an example of how it looks when the club has chosen recurring or subscription payments. The price displays the monthly amount, and beneath the product name, you’ll find the date of the first payment along with the total number of instalments (months) the payment covers.

The club can choose:

  • Whether you pay the first instalment immediately upon registration or on a specified date.

  • The number of periods the recurring payment will cover.

  • If there is a notice period and the length of the notice period for the recurring subscription payment.
    💡 Example: A participant cancels on January 15th, with the next instalment due on February 1st. With a two-month notice period, the final two required payments would be due on February 1st and March 1st.

After selecting one or more optional products (if available), click Next.


On the next page, you can log in with your Spond profile or use a one-time password sent to your email.

Log in with Spond profile

Request one-time password

  • If you already have a Spond profile, we recommend using it to log in. This will simplify the registration process and save time, as certain fields will be filled in automatically when you log in with your Spond profile.

  • In certain cases, the club allows individuals who are not members to register using the signup form. If this option is enabled, you can easily log in with your Spond profile and complete the registration. This makes the process quick and simple, without requiring you to already be a member of a group within the club. Please note that registration is only possible if the club has chosen to allow sign-ups for external participants.

  • If you attempt to log in with your Spond profile and are not registered as a club member, you will receive the following message after entering your email address and password:

    “Did you log in with an e-mail address or phone number that is known to this club? We could not verify you as a club member or a guardian of club members, and as this course is for members only, registration of non-members have been disabled. If you are indeed a club member, please contact the club in order to clarify which e-mail address or phone number is registered”.

  • Don’t have a Spond profile?
    No worries. You can request a one-time password to access the registration form.

  • Some clubs allow non-members to register via the signup form. If this option is enabled, you can complete your registration without a Spond profile.

    ⚠️ NOTE! Even if the registration form is restricted to club members only, you will still be able to enter your email address and request a one-time password. It is only after entering your email address and the one-time password that you may receive a message indicating the form is for club members only.
    In such cases, the following message will appear:

    "Did you log in with an e-mail address or phone number that is known to this club? We could not verify you as a club member or a guardian of club members, and as this course is for members only, registration of non-members have been disabled. If you are indeed a club member, please contact the club in order to clarify which e-mail address or phone number is registered”.

Next step for registering as a club member


When you have logged in with your Spond profile, and if you are registered as a guardian or linked to other individuals in the club, a dropdown list will appear. This list will include the names of the individuals you are connected to, as well as your own name. Here, you can select the person you wish to register.
ℹ️ You will have the opportunity to register additional people from this list later in the process.

  • You will now see any additional information the club wishes to collect. This may include options such as allergies or other relevant details the club requires. Fill in the necessary fields and make the appropriate selections. Once you are finished, click the Add to Basket button at the bottom right.

  • If you are a guardian or linked to other individuals in the club, a pop-up window will appear after you complete a registration. Here, you will be asked if you want to proceed to the basket or add more registrations.

If you choose to add more, you will be taken back to the start of the registration form, where you can select the desired option and repeat the registration process.

  • In the shopping basket, you will see an overview of the participants you have selected to register, any additional information requested by the club for each individual, as well as the main product and any optional products chosen for each person.

    • If you forgot to register someone from the dropdown list that appeared after logging in, you can easily click Add more registrations directly from the shopping basket.

    • If you entered incorrect information or need to make changes, click Edit to the right of the participant you want to modify.

    • Once you have confirmed that all participants are included, tick the box to accept Spond’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Then click Go to payment at the bottom right to complete the registration process.

  • Enter your card information and click Pay Now at the bottom right.

    • Your card details are never stored with us. All payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe, which is certified to the highest standard of data security (PCI DSS).

    • Please note that it may take up to a minute to process the payment. Avoid refreshing or leaving the page during this time.

  • Shortly after completing the payment, you will receive an email receipt. The receipt will include:

    • An overview of registered participants.

    • The main product selected for each participant, including the price.

    • Any optional products chosen for each participant, including the price.

    • The name of the Spond Club the payment has been directed to.

    • Details about:

      • Date and time of payment completion

      • Payment card details: card type and the last four digits

      • Payment ID

    • What the payment will appear as on your bank statement.

      ℹ️ In some cases, the description may be shortened.

Next step for registration as a non-member of the club


Once you have logged in with the one-time password, you will see options to register yourself or register someone for whom you are a guardian.


ℹ️ You will have the opportunity to register additional people from this list later in the process.

  • At the bottom of the fields you have filled in, you will see any additional information the club wishes to collect. This may include options such as allergies or other relevant details the club needs. Complete the required fields and make the necessary selections. Once finished, click the Add to Basket button at the bottom right.

  • After clicking Add to Basket, a pop-up window will appear upon completing a registration. Here, you will be asked whether you want to proceed to the cart or add more registrations.

If you choose to add more, you will be taken back to the front page of the registration form, where you can select the desired option and repeat the registration process.

  • In the shopping cart, you will see an overview of the individuals you have registered, any additional information requested by the club for each participant, as well as the main product and any optional products selected for each person.

    • If you forgot to register someone, you can easily click Add more registrations directly from the cart.

    • If you made a mistake or need to change something, click Edit to the right of the participant you want to modify.

    • Once you have confirmed that all participants to be registered are included, tick the box to accept Spond’s terms of Use and privacy policy. Then click Go to payment at the bottom right to complete the registration process.

  • Enter your card information and click Pay Now at the bottom right.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do if there is an error or if I experience issues regarding a payment for one or more registrations?


If you are experiencing issues or problems with a payment you’ve made, please contact us. To help us assist you more quickly, it’s helpful if you provide the payment ID, which can be found in the receipt emailed to you after completing the payment.

💡 Tip: At the bottom of the receipt email, you’ll find a handy link you can click if something is wrong or if you have questions about the payment. This automatically generates an email to us with the payment ID in the subject line, making it easier for us to assist you.

I receive the error message “Too many login codes requested” when requesting a one-time password. What can I do?


If you see this message, it’s likely because you’ve requested a one-time password multiple times in a short period. Please wait 5 minutes, and you should be able to request a new one-time password to the same email address.

💡 Tip: If you can’t find the email with the one-time password in your inbox, we recommend checking your spam or junk folder.
