Group member status and colour codes for group members in the Spond app
Updated this week

When you open a group and go to the "Members" section, you’ll see the group’s member list. Various symbols appear on the profile picture or initials of each member. This applies in both the app and the web version. Some symbols indicate membership status, while coloured dots show whether the member belongs to a subgroup.

Below, you can read more about what the different symbols and colours mean.

Symbol and meaning

  • If the symbol is an envelope, it means that the member has not logged into the app, and all notifications are sent to the email address registered to their Spond profile.

  • If the symbol is a Spond logo, it means the member has downloaded and logged into the Spond app. All notifications are sent via the app.

  • If there is a yellow exclamation mark, you can click on the member to see what the issue is. Often, this indicates that the member has not accepted the group invitation. Every time an invitation or post is sent to this person, they will receive a reminder about the group invitation.

  • If no symbol is displayed, it means that either the member has no registered contact information in the group, or they are a minor with guardians responding on their behalf.

⚠️ NOTE!
Please note that reminders, such as notifications that you haven’t responded to an event, are always sent via email. Currently, it is not possible to disable these reminders.

Colour codes in member lists

In member lists for groups and events, you may sometimes see one or more coloured dots next to members’ names.

These dots indicate that the member is part of one or more subgroups.

If the main group has several subgroups, each one is usually assigned a unique colour code.
