Joining a Spond group is a simple and seamless process that opens the door to organised interaction and community. Whether you receive an invitation via link or a group code from an admin, the process is equally straightforward. Select the invitation or enter the code and you quickly become part of the group. In this way, Spond becomes a bridge that connects you to different communities, gives you access to conversations, events and updates, and allows you to take part and be active in the group.
How do I join a group?
All groups in Spond are private. To join a group, you need to either be added by the group admin to the group with an email address or phone number, receive a group link or group code.
It's also possible for a group to have several subgroups. You become part of a subgroup either when the admin approves your membership or afterwards. You can read more about how to join a subgroup here.
⚠️ NOTE: It's only possible to search for a group using the group code in the Spond app. This feature is not available in the browser version.

How does the guardian function work?
The Guardian feature in Spond allows adults to manage children's membership, authorise participation and communicate with other guardians. By receiving notifications and relevant information, guardians help create a safe and effective environment for children's participation in group activities. This feature provides additional layers of support, organisation, and promotes the smooth running of activities with a focus on children's wellbeing.
⚠️ NOTE!
When adding guardians, it's important that you enter your contact information in the fields for guardians, and do not enter your email and phone number in the member's (child) fields. This is partly to ensure that notifications are correct.
The contact information fields on the member are for entering the email or phone number associated with the member's/child's Spond profile if the person has their own.
