Group Settings

Group name

In this view, the name of the main group is displayed.

Contact person

This view shows the name of the group's contact person, who is also one of the admins in the group.

If you are on the app, you'll be able to Select the person's name and bring up their membership card where you'll be able to see contact information, groups you've in common and send messages to them via Spond.

You can also email or call (from your phone's email service and call function).

Activity

In this view, you can see which activity/branch the group admin has selected for the group. For example, it could be: Alpine skiing, Bandy, Basketball, Bowling, E-sports, Football, Padel + much much more.

Age group

This view shows which age group the group admin has selected for the group (also includes subgroups). The main difference between which age group is selected for the group is whether the member has guardians listed.

The age groups the admin can choose from are:

  • Children/youth. This age group applies to members aged 0-17 years, as much of the communication is with the members' guardians

  • Adults. This age group applies to members aged 18+

  • Mixed. This age group applies to members in all other age groups with or without a parent or guardian

Subgroups (only shown in mobile app)

In this view, you can select the text Subgroups and you'll then receive a list of all the subgroups you are a member of.

Cashback (only shown in mobile app)

⚠️ Cashback is only available in Norway

This view will take you to the Cashback page. Cashback is a popular way for consumers to save money while shopping. When you take part in a Cashback programme, you receive a percentage of the purchase price back.
For example, if you buy something for NOK 1,000 in a store that offers 5% Cashback, you'll earn NOK 50 back. This sum accumulates over time and you can spend it as you wish. Cashback is particularly attractive because it gives you a reward for purchases you already plan to make, at no extra cost.

On the Cashback help page you can read more about how Cashback works and how to activate it.

Invite to group with link (only shown in mobile app)

In this view, you can copy and share the group link to others who are to join the group. Please note that this view is only visible if the group admin has activated the group link.

A group admin must approve the member before they join the group.

When you've click the text "Invite to group with link" you'll see the link that you can select to copy, you'll also see a list of apps you can share the link through e.g. SMS, Email, Facebook, WhatsApp etc.

Leave the group

In this view you can leave the group. Leaving a group or subgroup in Spond means that you withdraw as a member. If you leave the main group, you also lose access to the subgroup.

You cease to be part of the group and lose access to the group's information immediately.

You can read more here about how to leave from a group or subgroup.
