Changes to Stripe's terms from 6 January 2027

Spond uses Stripe to process payments. Stripe has updated its legal terms, and we want you to know about it. You're receiving this message because you've created a Stripe account through Spond to receive payments.

Nothing changes in how you use Spond.

What is changing?

The updated terms take effect on 6 January 2027. You can read the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which incorporates the Stripe Services Agreement, here: Stripe Connected Account Agreement

Stripe says the update reflects improvements to its services and supports new features. It also makes it clearer how Stripe provides its services.

Do I need to do anything?

No. By continuing to use Stripe's services through Spond on or after 6 January 2027, you agree to the updated terms.

If you'd like more information, including your options if you don't accept them, see Stripe's support page: Stripe's support page

What if I don't want to accept the terms?

Then you need to close your Stripe account before the updated terms take effect on 6 January 2027. You can't access the Stripe account directly, so you need to contact us at Spond to close it.

What about Stripe's Privacy Policy?

Stripe has also updated its Privacy Policy. It takes effect on 20 November 2026. You don't need to do anything. You can read the changes here: Stripe's Privacy Policy
