To receive payments collected from payment requests or events with registration fees, it's necessary to add a payment method. This method can only be used by the person who registers it, other admins must create their own payment method to accept payments. We use Stripe as our payment intermediary for secure and reliable transaction processing.


How do I add a payment method?

Below is a step-by-step guide to creating a payment method. Further down the page you'll find more information about the different options when creating a payment method.

How to create a payout method​


App:

  1. Open the app

  2. Select your profile picture

  3. Add payment method

  4. Fill in the fields and follow the steps

  5. In the last step, you can either save with account number or skip entering the account number later

You can also add a payment method by creating an event with a registration fee or by creating a payment request.

Web:

  1. Log in to your Spond profile here

  2. Create either event or payment request

    1. Event:

      • Create event, if you do this from the home screen, also select group

      • When you've selected the type of event and members to invite, select Show more settings

      • Under add, select Registration fee

      • Enter account

    2. Payment request:

      • Select Payment request, if you do this from the home screen, also select group After adding members, select Set account under payment method

      • Add payment method

      • Fill in the fields and follow the steps

      • In the last step, you can either save with account number or skip entering the account number later

How do I add an account number for payment method afterwards?

If you create a payment method without adding an account number right away, members will be able to pay, but you'll naturally not receive payments to your account until you've added an account number.

  2. Select your profile picture

  3. Payment

  4. Select the account you've already created

  5. Select Add missing info

  6. Enter your account number

  7. Save

  1. Log in to your Spond profile here

Account type

Select your account type and enter the required information:

  • Private: We need your name, email, phone number, date of birth, address and account number.

  • Organisation: For the company, we require your name, address, telephone number, organisation number and account number. As a representative of the company, you must also provide your title, name, email, phone number, date of birth and personal address.


Frequently asked questions

I've added a payment method and members have paid but I haven't received the money yet. Why?


This may be because you haven't added an account number to your payment method. Please double-check this. You can see how to add an account number afterwards here.
