Activating and Creating News Articles

Activating News

In the side menu under Website → Admin panel, you will find the option to activate news in the Features tab.

When you activate this feature, a separate option will be added to the left side menu.

With this activation, you can write and publish news articles as well as display the news section on any page you choose.


Creating a News Article

To create a news article, click on News in the side menu → select Create News Article, and then complete the fields on the left side.

  1. Author

  2. Date

  3. Title

  4. Categories: Enter the desired category title and add it (you can select an existing category or add a new one)

  5. Upload an image for the article

  6. If desired, you can expand the Advanced Settings option and customise how the page appears in Google search results. Read more here about Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

  7. Write the article content; you can also upload additional images throughout the text

  8. Then you can either:

    • Click Publish to make the article available on the club’s website

    • Click Save as Draft to keep the article unpublished in the drafts tab


Overview

In the News menu, you can see an overview of the club’s Published articles and articles in Drafts.


Published tab

Clicking on the three-dot button to the right of a published news article will allow you to:

  • Edit the article.

  • Move to draft to hide the article from the club’s website.

  • Delete the article permanently.
    ⚠️ Please note that deleted articles cannot be restored.


Draft tab

Click the button with the three dots to the right of a news article draft, and you can:

  • Edit the article.

  • Publish the article to make it visible on the club’s website. The article will then be moved to the Published tab.

  • Delete the article permanently.
    ⚠️ Please note that deleted articles cannot be restored.
