About password and security settings in Spond Club
Updated over a week ago

2-step verification is an essential security feature that adds an extra layer of protection for your club's data. When enabled, all club admins will be required to enter both their password and a security code sent to their mobile phone via SMS each time they log into Spond Club.

Once this security measure is implemented, any club admin who has not yet activated 2-step verification will be prompted to do so the next time they log in.

⚠️ NOTE: You must activate 2-step verification on your own account before enforcing it for all admins. This can be done via your personal profile page.

Password policy

At Spond, we take security seriously and work continuously to protect our users. To ensure user safety, Spond requires all profiles to have a secure password. A strong password helps keep your account safe and reduces the risk of unauthorised access.

To protect your Spond profile, your password must meet certain security requirements. It must:

  • Contain at least 8 characters, but no more than 64 characters

  • Include at least two of the following:

    • Uppercase letters (A–Z)

    • Lowercase letters (a–z)

    • Numbers (0–9)

    • Special characters (!, @, #, etc.)

  • When resetting or changing your password, you cannot reuse a previously used password

For the best security, we recommend choosing a unique password that is not used for other services. Users with a password considered weak will be prompted to update it to a stronger one upon login. Currently, this requirement applies only to Spond Club.
Additionally, we encourage all users to enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for extra protection.
