Troubleshooting in Spond Club
Updated over a month ago

Are you finding that Spond Club is running slowly or experiencing other errors without any clear reason? These situations can be a bit frustrating, but there’s a simple solution that often helps: clearing your browser data, also known as cache, and cookies.

Cache and cookies are stored to make websites faster and more user-friendly. However, they can sometimes become outdated or conflict with new data. When this happens, it may cause the system to behave unexpectedly. By clearing these stored data, you give your browser a fresh start, which can often resolve the issue.

We’ve created a step-by-step guide to show you how to clear your browser data and cookies for your specific browser. If this doesn’t solve the problem, you’ll also find some additional tips further down in the article that might help.

Clear browser data (cache) and cookies

Google Chrome

  1. Click on the three dots in the top-right corner of your browser

  2. Select Settings

  3. In the menu on the left-hand side, click on Privacy and Security

  4. Click Delete browsing data

  5. Choose the time range for which you want to clear browsing data. We recommend selecting a slightly longer time frame, such as “Last 24 hours”, when clearing data.

If the options for Browsing history, Cookies and other site data, and Cached images and files are not already ticked, ensure these three are selected. Then click Delete data in the bottom-right corner to complete the process.

Alternative problem-solving measures

If clearing the cache or cookies does not resolve the issue, you can try the following steps. We recommend following the points in the order listed for the best results:

  • Log out and back in again. Log out of your Spond Club profile and then log back in to refresh the connection.

  • Perform a Hard Refresh: A hard refresh forces the browser to reload a webpage while bypassing cached data. This ensures you see the most up-to-date version of the site and can resolve issues such as slow loading, errors, or outdated information.
    Google Chrome, Firefox and Edge:

    • Mac: Command + Shift + R

    • Windows: Ctrl + R

    Safari:

    • Mac:

      1. Option + Command + E

        1. If you have not enabled Developer Tools in Safari, go to Safari in the top-left corner → PreferencesAdvanced, and tick the box for Show Develop menu in the menu bar. You can then clear the cache as described above.

      2. Command + R

    • Windows:
Safari is no longer available as a browser on Windows platforms

  • Close the browser completely and reopen it to give it a “fresh start”.

  • Use incognito mode in your browser. Incognito mode bypasses cache, extensions, and other local data that may cause issues, making it a useful tool for resolving unusual or localized errors.

    • Google Chrome and Edge:

      • Mac: Shift + Command + N

      • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + N

    • Firefox:

      • Mac: Shift + Command + P

      • Windows: Shift + CTRL + P

    • Safari:

      • Mac: Shift + Command + N

      • Windows: Safari is not available on Windows platforms

  • Switch to a different browser or device, for example, from Firefox to Google Chrome, to check if the issue persists. If switching browsers does not resolve the problem, we recommend attempting to replicate the action on another device, if possible.
