If you've recently started using Spond Club but some of your club’s teams already have existing groups in the Spond app, you can easily import these groups into your club solution. Once imported, the group and its members will appear in Spond Club. From that point on, overall administration, including group settings and group administrator management, will be handled exclusively by club admins in Spond Club.
When a group is imported, all its members will appear under Pending. You'll need to approve these members for them to be included in your active membership list. If you encounter duplicate members in Pending Members after importing, it's crucial to merge them rather than delete them. Deleting will remove their access to the group, while merging keeps it intact.
How to Import a Group to Spond Club
Go to Departments and Groups → Import Group and then send the link to yourself (or to the group administrator of the group you wish to import). Ask the group administrator to grant access for the import via the link.
Once access has been granted through the link, the group will appear in the list under Departments and Groups → Import Group, where you can click on the group to start the import.
The group import process then consists of two steps:
Details
Fill in the required information and make the selections that best suit the group you are importing. For more details about the options, refer to the guide “Create a New Group” starting from step 3 onwards.
Group Roles
The club roles you have created will differ from the old group roles, and you will need to specify how they should align with one another. All group members who previously had roles will be assigned the new club roles you select from the dropdown menus. The old group roles will then be removed from the group.
If needed, you can create a new group role by clicking the “Add Group Role” button.
To simplify the process, we recommend planning your club roles in advance. This will make it easier to reuse roles (such as Coach, Assistant, Team Leader, etc.) across different groups.
Click Import at the bottom right to complete the group import process.
