Managing Unprocessed Members in Spond Club
Updated over 2 weeks ago

In the “Unprocessed” menu, you will find an overview of members who have either joined the club’s groups via a group code or have been added to one of the club’s groups by a group administrator.

⚠️ Important information about members who joined a club group using a group code/invitation code

Members who do not join the club via the registration form but instead register in one of the club’s groups using a group code/invitation code will not appear under “Unprocessed” until a group administrator has approved them in the Spond app or web version. This can be done by navigating to: the relevant GroupMembers.

💡 Please note that the group must have at least one group administrator to approve members who have joined via a group code/invitation code. It is not sufficient for a club administrator to create the group without also adding themselves as a group administrator.

Once a member is approved in the app or web version, the club administrator must go to Spond ClubMembersUnprocessed and approve them there before they appear in the group in Spond Club.

This is because the club may have fees, terms, or similar requirements that a potential member must pay or accept before becoming a member. When a group administrator approves a member in a group, it does not automatically make them a club member.

Once a group administrator has approved the member in the group, the member will immediately gain access to the group, even if they still appear as unprocessed in Spond Club. Members imported by a Spond Club administrator via the group or member import function will automatically be added under “Active Members”.

Approve unprocessed members

You can approve each member individually, or select all members on the list by ticking Select all.

Assigning Member Types

When members are imported in a single operation, they are automatically classified as Member. If you need to assign a different member type, it is recommended to process new members in several steps.

Deleting Unprocessed Members

If you delete an unprocessed member instead of approving or merging them, they will lose access to their groups in the Spond app.

Duplicates

An orange alert will appear for any duplicates.

To review them, click on the member's name (do not select) or choose Review. A new screen will appear, allowing you to address the duplicate.

  • Click on Show duplicate and merge.

  • If it is the same member, review the data and click Merge. Any discrepancies between the unprocessed and active members will be highlighted in red. In the right column, select which data the merged member should retain.

  • If it is not the same member (e.g., siblings), click Cancel and Approve as new member.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are no members visible in the group in Spond Club, even though several have joined via a group code/invitation code?

Members who register in one of the club’s groups using a group code or invitation code must be approved by a group administrator who is also a member of the group. To approve these members, a group administrator must go to the relevant group in the Spond app or web version and navigate to GroupMembers.

Please note that the group must have at least one group administrator who is also a member of the group. It is not sufficient for only a club administrator to be an admin of the group.
