In the Spond app, you will find tools that help you efficiently manage messages, making it easier to navigate conversations and group chats. This article explains how to use these features, including marking messages as unread, archiving chats, and using bulk actions. These tools are designed to simplify message management for both administrators and regular users.

Mark messages as read/unread

The Mark as unread function allows users to keep track of important messages they need to return to.

How to mark messages as read/unread

  • Swipe Right: A partial swipe right on any chat thread reveals the option to mark the conversation as read or unread. This gives you a quick and easy way to flag messages for later review.

  • Full Swipe Right: Swiping the entire chat thread to the right automatically marks the message as read or unread without needing to tap the icon. This saves time and streamlines the process when you’re managing multiple chats.

  • Long Press: By pressing and holding any chat thread, users can access additional options to mark the conversation as read or unread, as well as archive the chat. This method is useful for those who prefer manual controls.

Bulk selection of messages

To help users manage multiple conversations quickly, you have the option to select chats in bulk. This feature is especially useful for administrators or those overseeing large groups with frequent messages.

Bulk selection button: Located next to the ➕ button at the top of the screen, it allows you to select multiple chats at once. Once selected, you can mark all chosen chats as read or unread in a single action.
