If you are planning to use or have recently started using Spond Club, but some teams in your club already have existing groups in the app, these groups can be exported from the Spond app and imported into the Spond Club solution. After the import, the group and its members will be visible in Spond Club. All administration, such as group settings and permissions for group administrators, will then be managed by the club administrators in Spond Club.
How to Import a Group from the Spond App to a Spond Club Profile
To begin the process of importing your group into a Spond Club profile, you or the administrator of the Spond Club profile must log in to Spond Club. Once logged in, follow these steps:
From the left-hand side menu in Spond Club, click on Departments and Groups
Click the button in the top-right corner called Import Group
⚠️ We recommend that you carefully read the information on the next page before starting the import process
To import an existing group, you need to share the link below (see image) with a group manager. The link can be shared via email, for instance. By using this link, the group manager can share groups with the club, and these groups will subsequently appear in the list below
Click on the link icon 🔗 to copy the link
When the group manager receives the link, they can paste it into a web browser. They will then need to log in with their Spond app profile to access the groups they manage, which are linked to their Spond app profile
To the right of the group you wish to import into Spond Club, click Grant Access…
A window will appear where you can, if desired, add a description of the group (maximum 100 characters). When you are ready to import the group to the Spond Club profile, click “Grant Access”
A pop-up window will then appear with the following message: *Club Name* has been notified that they can now import the group *Group Name* to the club
The administrator of the Spond Club profile has now received an email containing a link to the overview in Spond Club. Here, they can see which groups are ready to be imported to the Spond Club profile
