What is the web version of the Spond app?
Spond is primarily a mobile app that makes it easy to send invitations to training sessions, matches or meetings, communicate directly with members and parents, collect payments and manage member lists. In addition to the mobile app, there is also a web version available in your browser, where you can carry out most of the same tasks as in the app.
Where can I find the web version of Spond?
You can access the web version of the Spond app here: https://spond.com/client. Log in with the same details you use for the Spond app on your phone.
What is the difference between Spond Club and the Spond web version?
The web version of Spond is essentially the same as the Spond app, only in a browser. Here, team leaders can create training sessions, matches and meetings, send out invitations, track attendance and communicate directly with members and parents. Members and guardians can log in and use it to respond to invitations, check the calendar and handle payments linked to the team, just as they do in the mobile app. The web version is therefore designed for the daily activities of teams and groups.
Spond Club, on the other hand, is the club’s administration tool and is mainly used by the board and club management. Here you will find the membership register for the entire club, you can set up and collect membership fees and training fees, assign roles and permissions to coaches and team leaders, and organise activities that involve the whole club. Spond Club provides an overview of all teams and members, something you will not find in the web version of the app. Read about the differences between the Spond app and Spond Club
Simply put, the web version and the app are used by team leaders, members and parents to organise the daily activities of a team, while Spond Club is used by club administrators to manage the bigger picture of finances, membership and club operations.
To make the difference even clearer, here are some examples:
In the web version, a coach can create a training session and send invitations to players, but cannot set up or collect membership fees. This can only be done in Spond Club.
In the web version, a member can pay a participation fee for a tournament their team is attending, but the club cannot send out a collective invoice for training fees to all members. That is done in Spond Club.
In the web version, a team leader can send messages to their own team, but they cannot send a message to the entire club. Only club administrators can do this via Spond Club.
In the web version, parents can register whether their child will attend training, but they cannot enter or edit membership information at club level. This is managed in Spond Club.
In Spond Club, the club can create registration forms for new members or open sign-ups for club events, while the web version only allows existing members to respond to invitations sent out by their team.
In short, the web version can be used for everything related to an individual team, while Spond Club provides the tools needed to manage the entire club.
