How to remove a guardian from a member

Updated this week

A member can have multiple guardians linked to their profile, but these apply across the entire Spond Club. It is not possible to assign different guardians to different groups. Guardians are automatically added to any groups the member joins, and cannot be added to or removed from individual groups independently of the member.

How to remove guardians from a member

  1. From the side menu in Spond Club, click on MembersActive Members.

  2. Find the member you want to edit and click on their name.

  3. Click Edit in the top right corner.

  4. Scroll down until you see Guardians.

  5. Click the x-icon to the right of the guardian you want to remove.

  6. Click Save in the bottom right corner, and the guardian will be removed from the member.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it possible to have different guardians for a member in different groups within the same club?

No, it’s not possible to assign different guardians to a member in different groups. Guardians are linked to the member’s profile in Spond Club, and this connection applies across all groups the member belongs to.

Can I remove a guardian from a group without removing the member?

No, that’s not possible. Guardians are linked to the member and are automatically included in all groups the member belongs to. To remove a guardian from a group, you must either remove the member from the group or remove the guardian link from the member entirely.

Can a guardian be added to a group without the child being a member of the group?

No, that’s not possible. Guardians are directly linked to the child’s member profile and are automatically included in any groups the child is part of. You therefore cannot add a guardian to a group unless the child is also a member of that group.

If you want a guardian to be part of a group without the child, the guardian must be created as a separate member in the club and added to the group in the usual way.
