Flexible Fee Collection

With Spond, flexibility is key. You can collect fees in several ways:

  • One-time fees: As players confirm their attendance, they can pay a registration fee to participate. This can also be added on recurrent events & matches.

  • Multiple products: For matches with different tiers, create a payment request with multiple product options, tailored to player roles or event types.

  • Payment based on attendance: Tap the "Request payment" button after an event or match to easily request payment from those that attended.

One-Time Registration/Match Fees

Ensure all event participants contribute by adding a mandatory fee that must be paid upon responding. This fee can be applicable for both single and recurring events.

Step-by-step

1. Edit event

2. Tap Registration fee

3. Set price per participant (add transaction fee optional)

Collecting Match Fees with Payment Requests (Tiered fees)

When to Use: Ideal for collecting fees after the event or for events with different participation levels (e.g., coaching staff vs. players).

If your event involves different fee tiers, you can tailor your payment requests to fit. Start by setting up the payment request with no base fee, then add multiple products to define specific fees for different roles or team positions. For instance, you might set the fee for a coach at £10, while the goalkeeper might have a different rate. Then it will be up the right person to pay the right price.

Step-by-step

  1. Request a Payment: Begin by creating a new payment request.

  2. Select Members: Choose the members who are required to pay.

  3. Payment Request Type: Decide whether the payment is required or optional.

  4. Set Base Price: Start with a zero base fee and add products.

  5. Add Product: Create a specific fee, like a "Goalkeeper Fee," and set the amount.

Payments based on availability or attendance

For this purpose group admins can create an Availability Request in the Spond App to check which players are available before creating an event and inviting the players. This is an practical tool if you want to see player availability before setting up a match.
The members will be displayed in sections based on their response to the event. This makes it easy for you to choose all members that attended with just one click.

To send out a payment request based on attendance at an event, open the related event and scroll down to the 'Request payment' button.
