Club roles
Updated over a week ago

Club roles give the club administrator permission to perform specific tasks or view information in Spond Club.

View, edit, and delete a role

  • View

When you are in "Club Roles," you will see a list of created roles, including the name of the role and the number of people in the club who hold that role.

Clicking anywhere on the row corresponding to a role will take you to the page for that role.

On the role overview page for the selected role, you will see a summary of the permissions that the role has to view and manage various actions.

Further down the page, you will see a list of the group administrators who have been assigned this role.

  • Edit

When you are in "Club Roles," you will see a list of created roles. Click on the three dots to the right of the role you want to edit, and select "Edit" to go directly to the role's editing page.

If you are already on the role overview page, you can click the button with the three dots at the top right and select "Edit."

On the role editing page, you will be able to change the name of the role and specify which actions the role has permission to view and edit.

Once the changes are made, click "Save" at the bottom right.

  • Delete

To delete a club role, you can do this in two ways:

    - When you are in "Club Roles," you will see a list of created roles. Click on the three dots to the right of the role you want to delete, and select "Delete." You will then receive a prompt to confirm that you want to delete the role.

    - If you are already on the role overview page, you can click the button with the three dots at the top right and select "Delete." You will then receive a prompt to confirm that you want to delete the role.

⚠️ NOTE! If the role is in use/assigned to one or more administrators, you must remove the role from the administrator(s) before you can delete the role. Read here on how to change the role of an administrator.

Add a club role

When you are in "Club Roles," you will see a button at the top right labeled "Add Club Role." Click on this to add a new club role.

On the page for creating a new club role, you will be able to name the role and customize which actions the role is allowed to view and edit.

When the role is set up, click "Save" at the bottom right.

💡Tip!

You assign roles to administrators by going to the "Club Administrators" setting.
