How to View, Edit, and Manage Membership Types in Spond Club

Membership types in Spond Club allow you to distinguish between different kinds of members, such as regular, supporting, junior, senior, and non-members. While the membership type doesn’t affect what members can do in the Spond app, it simplifies member management and tracking payment status across groups.


View a Membership Type

To view existing membership types:

  1. Go to the 'Membership Types' section.

  2. You'll see a list of membership types with the number of members assigned to each type.

  3. Click on any membership type to see its details.


Edit a Membership Type

To edit a membership type:

  1. In the 'Membership Types' section, click the three dots next to the type you wish to edit and select 'Edit'.

  2. You can also access the editing page from the membership type overview by clicking the three dots at the top right.

  3. You can rename the type and activate digital membership cards, which display the club logo, member’s name, and guardian status if applicable.

  4. Once changes are made, click 'Save'.


Delete a Membership Type

To delete a membership type:

  1. In 'Membership Types', click the three dots next to the type you want to delete and select 'Delete'.

  2. Confirm the deletion in the prompt window.

NOTE: You can't delete a membership type if it is currently assigned to any members. Be sure to remove the type from all active and deactivated members before deletion.


Create a Membership Type

To add a new membership type:

  1. In 'Membership Types', click the 'Add Membership Type' button at the top right.

  2. Enter the membership type name and activate the digital membership card if needed.

  3. Click 'Save' to finalise the setup.

Why does the club logo not appear on members' membership cards?

Ensure that the digital membership card is activated for the membership type in the 'Membership Types' settings.

Can I delete a membership type if it’s assigned to a member?

No, you must remove the membership type from all members, including deactivated ones, before deleting it.

How do I activate digital membership cards for all members?

Go to the 'Membership Types' section, edit the membership type, and check the box to activate the membership card for that type.
