⚠️ Friskus is only available in Norway 🇳🇴
Friskus is a digital platform that local authorities use to gather local leisure activities and administer support schemes such as the Leisure Card (Fritidskortet). With Friskus in Spond Club, members and guardians can use available support funds to pay for all or part of payment requests from the club.
Connect your club to Friskus
Before your club can accept Friskus payments, it must be connected to Friskus. You do this once, in Spond Club. You will need two things:
Your club's FRISKUS ID, from Friskus.
Your club's bank account number.
How to connect your club to Friskus
How to connect your club to Friskus
💡 Friskus is activated in the club settings, and requires the Settings permission for your club role in Spond Club. If you cannot see the Friskus menu item, it is most likely because you do not have this permission. An administrator who does can either activate Friskus on your behalf, or grant you the permission. Read more about club roles.
From the side menu, click Settings and under Finance select Friskus.
Enter your club's FRISKUS ID and the bank account number you want payouts to go to. Then read through the three boxes under «Activate Friskus» and tick to confirm the club understands:
The activation is permanent, and the setting cannot be deactivated by the club itself once saved.
A remaining amount under 3 kr on a Friskus payment cannot be adjusted, and will instead be registered as paid in full.
Spond may invoice the club separately for transaction fees related to payments via Friskus.
💡 You can find it on your club's admin page in Friskus, and it looks like this:FRISKUS-XXXX-XXXX.Click Save in the bottom right of the box.
You will be asked: Activate Friskus? Click Activate to complete, or Cancel if you want to wait.
⚠️ NOTE! Once you activate Friskus as a payment method and save the choice, this is permanent. You can update the account number later, but you cannot disconnect the club from Friskus yourself. If you wish to end the connection, please contact Spond support.
Spond verifies the Friskus ID and account number against Friskus before anything is activated. If successful, we display the organisation name returned by Friskus. Check that your club's name appears there, so you know the Friskus ID belongs to the correct club.
Frequently asked questions
What happens after we have activated Friskus?
What happens after we have activated Friskus?
Friskus appears as a tick box when you create a payment request, above the choice of payment type. You choose whether Friskus should be available on each individual request. Activating Friskus does not mean it is used automatically.
Can we activate Friskus on payment requests we have already sent out?
Can we activate Friskus on payment requests we have already sent out?
Yes, if two things are in place. The request must be set up as a one-time payment, and the transaction fee must be included in the price. If both apply, you can tick Friskus afterwards, so you do not have to create the request again.
Who pays the transaction fee?
Who pays the transaction fee?
The member pays the amount in the payment request, and the club pays the transaction fee. This applies to each recipient who pays with Friskus. The fee cannot be added on top of a Friskus payment, so it must be included in the price you set on the request. Spond invoices the club monthly for the Friskus portion.
How long does it take before the club receives the funds?
How long does it take before the club receives the funds?
Around one week after the payer has registered the payment in Friskus. A municipal approval and a bank approval take place in between.
Can Friskus be used for all payments we send out?

Does the member need a Spond profile to pay with Friskus?
No. Members who do not use the app receive the payment by email, just like any other payment from the club. Everything they need, the payment reference and the amount, is in the email.
What happens if Friskus does not cover the full amount?

The remainder cannot currently be paid in Spond. The payment will remain open until you and the member agree on another way to settle the rest.
The connection is not going through. What is wrong?
The connection is not going through. What is wrong?
There are two things that block the connection, and both must be in order before Friskus can be activated.
The account number does not match what Friskus has registered for the club. Check that you have entered the correct account number.
The club does not have a Leisure Card agreement with Friskus. The agreement must be in place before you can complete the connection.
Can we turn Friskus off again?
Can we turn Friskus off again?
Not by yourself. Once Friskus is activated, it remains as a payment method for the club. To deactivate it, please contact Spond support.
Can all clubs in Norway use Friskus?
Can all clubs in Norway use Friskus?
Yes. Friskus in Spond is available to clubs across Norway. Whether a member has a support balance to use depends on the local authority having a support scheme administered through Friskus. If you are unsure what applies in your municipality, check with the local authority or with Friskus.
Why can we only connect one account number?
Why can we only connect one account number?
Friskus only allows one account number per club, so Spond must follow the same rule. If your club has more than one account, you will need to decide which one Friskus payments should go to.
Can we change the bank account number after connecting?
Can we change the bank account number after connecting?
Yes. You can update the account number at any time in the Friskus settings in Spond Club.
Friskus was suddenly deactivated for our club. Why?
Friskus was suddenly deactivated for our club. Why?
Most likely because the Leisure Card agreement has expired. Spond regularly checks that the club still has a valid agreement with Friskus, and deactivates Friskus when it is no longer valid. If the club renews the agreement, Spond support can help you get started again.
