Share a bank account with groups in Spond Club

From Spond Club, you can create and manage bank account numbers that are shared with groups. Group administrators are granted access to use these accounts. The arrangement applies only to standard payments and not to digital fundraising campaigns.

You’ll find the menu for viewing and creating club accounts under Settings Club accounts.


When adding a bank account, you can choose whether all groups, no groups, or selected groups should have access to the account or be required to use it.

For example, you can assign team accounts to specific teams. The entire handball group can use the handball account number, while the football group can use its own.

If a group has previously used a payout account for each administrator in the app, these are no longer needed. Group admins must remember to change the payout method in any ongoing payments and events in the group to the club’s payout account, and then delete the old payout method they previously set up.

Payouts from Spond groups will be included in the exports available in Spond Club under Finance for the relevant account. Incoming payments to the group will appear as separate tabs for each group in the export file.

⚠️ NOTE!

  • It is not possible to delete a payout method before all funds have been paid out. For faster payouts, the frequency can be set to daily.

  • Group admins must remember to export the account to ensure access to the payment history later. Club administrators in Spond Club can also retrieve the exports under FinanceAppExport payments.

How do I assign a bank account to specific groups in Spond Club?


Navigate to SettingsClub Account, add the account number, and then toggle access to the account for either no groups, all groups, or selected groups. This allows you to customise which groups can use each account.

What should a group administrator do if they previously used their own payout account?


The group administrator needs to update the payment method in ongoing til payments/events to the club's designated payment account. They should then delete their old payment method once all funds have been paid out. Remember to export the payment history under FinanceAppExport payments, before deleting the old method to keep a record.

Can I delete a payment method immediately?


No, you cannot delete a payment method until all the funds have been fully paid out. To facilitate faster payouts, you can set the payout frequency to daily.

How are group transactions organised in the Spond Club Finance exports?

Group transactions are listed with a separate tab for each group in the Finance exports. This ensures that settlements from Spond groups are accurately allocated to the correct bank account.
