How to Remind Members of Overdue Payments in Spond Club

When a payment deadline has passed, a Send Reminder button will appear next to the payment request in Spond Club and the Spond App. Pressing this button does not immediately send out messages. Instead, it allows you to select which members should receive the reminder. You can also see how many reminders they have already received and the date of the last reminder sent.


How to Send an Automated Reminder

  1. When the payment deadline has expired, click on the Send Reminder button in the Spond App or Spond Club.

  2. After pressing Send Reminder, you’ll be able to select which members should receive the reminder.

  3. The reminder will be sent via both email and the Spond App for those who have it installed. Members not using the app will receive the reminder by email only.


Manually Sending Messages About Outstanding Amounts

If you need to inform members about the consequences of non-payment, you can send a message directly to those with outstanding balances. Here's how to do it:

  1. Go to the Payment Request.

  2. Scroll down to the recipient list.

  3. Filter by the status Unpaid.

  4. Select the members you want to message, then click the Send Message button.

This allows you to communicate clearly with members and stress the importance of completing the payment.

Can I schedule reminders to be sent automatically in Spond Club?

No, reminders cannot be scheduled automatically. However, you can manually send reminders by clicking the Send Reminder button when the payment deadline has passed.

How many times can I send a reminder to the same member?

You can send multiple reminders to the same member. When you select members to receive a reminder, you’ll be able to see how many reminders they have already received, helping you track communication.

Is there a way to customise the reminder message before sending it?

What happens if a member does not pay after receiving a reminder?

If a member does not pay after receiving reminders, you can use the Send Message feature to inform them of any consequences of non-payment or discuss alternative payment options directly.

Will members without the Spond app still receive payment reminders?

Yes, members who do not have the app will receive reminders via email. Spond ensures that both app users and non-users are notified about payment deadlines.
