Create payment request

If you want to collect money for a trip, annual membership fee or new uniforms, for example, you can create a payment request in your groups or subgroups. This request will only be visible to those who are invited to pay.


How do I create a payment request?

In order to create a payment request, it's necessary that you've first added a payment method in the app. You can read more about how to do this here. Once you've added a payment method, you are ready to create your payment request.

How to create a payment request


App:

  1. Open the app

  2. Select "+" in the top right corner (iPhone), bottom right corner (Android)

  3. Payment request

  4. Select the group you want to create the request for and the members who will receive the request

  5. Fill in details for your enquiry

  6. Send

Frequently asked questions

How do I manage a payment request?

When you're in the payment request in question, by pressing/selecting the three small dots (...) you'll be given the option to duplicate (copy) the request, turn it into an event, create a subgroup, or delete the request.

Can I refund payments for events and payment requests created in the Spond app?


Refunds for payment requests and events created in the Spond app unfortunately cannot be processed directly within the app. If you wish to refund one or more members for a payment request, the refund must be organised between the member and the recipient outside of Spond.

However, if the group is part of a Spond Club profile and the payment was created through Spond Club, the refund can easily be managed via the club’s Spond Club profile.
