NIF (Norwegian Sports Federation) uses branches to link members to different sports and federations. In Spond Club, branches are handled at different levels. For NIF branches to function effectively, it is essential that the membership synchronisation process is followed correctly in Spond Club.
Club Branches
A club registers its branches with NIF in Club Admin. This must be done by the general manager or someone with a senior role in the club.
Adding a Branch to a Group
For members to be assigned a branch, the group they belong to must have a NIF branch. This can be set up when creating the group or edited later.
When new members are added to a group with a predefined NIF branch, they automatically inherit the branch assignment, streamlining the process. This requires that the member has a registered NIF ID in Spond Club.
Go to "Departments and Groups" and select "Edit Group" for the groups that should have a NIF branch. In the NIF branch field, you will see a dropdown list with the branch that is registered to the club in KlubbAdmin.
Updating Branches on Members
A member is assigned a branch based on which groups they belong to. If they are missing a branch, it may be because they are not associated with a group, or the group lacks a NIF branch.
When members come from NIF (members appears under "Members from NIF"), they will be registered with the branch(es) they had at the time they were updated in Spond Club. If they do not have a group association in Spond for the same sport, there will be a discrepancy between the registered branches in NIF and Spond. If the member no longer has this branch, you can remove the branch (this will be recorded with NIF) by clicking the "Remove" button. If they are a member and should have the branch, they must be added to a group that has this branch for synchronization.

It may be that the branch needs to be updated from Club Admin. You can also synchronise branches from Club Admin via the Settings menu. Read more here about the NIF integration in Spond Club. If branches are still missing, they may need to be registered in Club Admin by the club’s general manager.

You cannot submit members until a NIF branch has been set for all of your groups. If you have not already done this, go to Departments and groups and edit your groups there.
