NIF (Norwegian Sports Federation) uses branches to link members to various sports and federations. In Spond Club, these branches are managed at different levels.
Club Branches
A club registers its branches with NIF in KlubbAdmin. This must be done by the general manager or someone with a high role in the club. Once this is done, the club must also ask Spond Support to synchronize this so that the branch becomes visible in Spond Club. Contact Spond Support via the chat in the bottom right corner when logged into Spond Club.
Adding a Branch to a Group
For members to be assigned a branch, the group they belong to must have a NIF branch. This can be set up when creating the group or edited later.
Go to "Departments and Groups" and select "Edit Group" for the groups that should have a NIF branch. In the NIF branch field, you will see a dropdown list with the branch that is registered to the club in KlubbAdmin.
Updating Branches on Members
A member is assigned a branch based on which groups they belong to. If they are missing a branch, it may be because they are not associated with a group, or the group lacks a NIF branch.
When members come from NIF (members appears under "Members from NIF"), they will be registered with the branch(es) they had at the time they were updated in Spond Club. If they do not have a group association in Spond for the same sport, there will be a discrepancy between the registered branches in NIF and Spond. If the member no longer has this branch, you can remove the branch (this will be recorded with NIF) by clicking the "Remove" button. If they are a member and should have the branch, they must be added to a group that has this branch for synchronization.

Branches are updated on members when you activate branches for a group. If you add NIF branches to groups that already have members, it may sometimes be necessary to contact Spond Support to update branches for all members in the club.

The branch may need to be updated from KlubbAdmin. Contact Spond Support via the chat in the bottom right corner when logged into Spond Club and ask us to update branches for your club. If branches are still missing, they may need to be registered in KlubbAdmin by the club’s general manager and then updated by Spond Support.

You cannot submit members until you have set a NIF branch for all your groups. If you haven’t done this already, you can go to "Departments and Groups" and then edit your groups.
