Transaction fees

Updated over a week ago

Here is an overview of the transaction fees charged by Spond in various jurisdictions. These includes transaction costs for our payment partner, Stripe.

By default, the transaction fee is covered by the club. (The transaction fee is calculated from the total amount paid, and the club is left with the price)

If the club wishes the members to cover the transaction fee they have the option to choose this. (The transaction fee is added on the total price) of the products minus this fee.

If the club wants the members to cover the transaction fees, they have the option to choose this. A transaction fee is then added, so that the club is left with the price of the products after the calculated transaction fee is deducted.

Clubs in Spond Club have two options for handling transaction fees when collecting payments such as membership fees and training fees.

See separate rates for payments that need to be reported to the Norwegian Sports Federation below.

Include the transaction fee in the product price

  • How it works: The transaction fee is included in the price members pay. This means the club receives the product price minus the transaction fee.

  • Calculation

    • Formula: Product price * percentage fee + fixed fee

    • Example: For a product costing 1000 NOK

      • 1000 NOK * 2.99% + 2 NOK ≈ 32 NOK

      • The member pays 1000 NOK, and the club receives 968 NOK after the fee of 32 NOK is deducted.

Add the transaction fee to the product price

  • How it works: The transaction fee is added to the price members pay. This ensures that the club receives the full amount for the product.

  • Calculation:

    • Formula: Total price incl. transaction fee * percentage fee + fixed fee

    • Example: If the club wants to receive 1000 NOK for a product

      • 1033 NOK * 2.99% + 2 NOK ≈ 33 NOK

      • The member pays 1033 NOK, and the club receives 1000 NOK after the fee of 33 NOK is deducted.

NIF quota

For clubs that are integrated with the Norwegian Sports Confederation, an additional amount of NOK 27 per member will apply to the annual membership fee.

This results in a transaction fee of 2.99%, + NOK 2. per transaction and NOK 27. per member on payments to be registered with the Norwegian Sports Confederation. This applies per member per year.
