Spond groups are the framework around which the rest of the Spond platform has been built. A group is usually a sports team (or a similar collection of people within a non-sporting organisation).

You can have multiple groups and also set up sub-groups. For example, a rugby team might be a single group and then have sub-groups for the forwards and backs, so they can arrange specific training and communicate separately.
