When the club submits members to NIF, members automatically receive an email from the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports. The email contains information about the membership and a confirmation button that the member must use to complete the registration with NIF.
Below, you will find a step by step overview of what the email looks like, what the member needs to do to confirm their membership, and how the process is completed.

Email sent to the member in connection with submission to NIF
The member will receive an email from the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports, sent from [email protected], with a message asking them to confirm their membership in the club.
The email contains a button that the member must click to confirm their membership in the club with NIF. “John Smith” will be replaced with the member’s name, and “Your club” will be replaced with the name of the club.
When the member clicks the confirmation button, an overview of the registered information is displayed. The member should check that the details are correct. If any information is incorrect, the club must update it in Spond.
When the member clicks OK, they will receive a one time code by SMS, which must be entered before clicking OK again.
Once the member has been synchronised, a confirmation message is shown: “Thank you, John Smith! Your registration with the club is complete.”
⚠️ NOTE: If the member encounters an error message during the registration process, you can read more about how this is handled here.
